"For every one negative story you hear in the news, there are thousands of positive stories happening every day that go unnoticed.”

These were words shared by Officer Gregory Alia just months before he was killed in the line of duty. Despite the challenges nationally between police and community, Greg never lost sight of the kindness and compassion happening in our neighborhoods. In his memory, we elevate those stories and celebrate the many ways, large and small, that police and community are working together to make our world safer, healthier, and happier places for all. We believe that by celebrating good deeds, we help positive change spread. Through Knight of Honor, we bring a theme that reflects Greg’s spirit and heart of hope.

Welcome to the 4th Annual Knight of Honor Gala, the premier celebration of excellence in community policing. The event draws over 300 law enforcement leaders, community champions, and change agents each year from across the state. Officers are nominated for outstanding compassion, kindness, and service to others. We also recognize an outstanding citizen hero whose actions have significantly contributed to improved safety and well-being in their community. By celebrating these incredible individuals, we light a path for hope, healing and positive change.

Set in a medieval-themed hall, the event begins at 6:30pm with cocktails, registration and silent auction. At 7:00pm, the awards presentation will begin, including the induction of six new officers into the Serve & Connect Knights of the Round Table. We will also present one citizen hero award and one officer will receive the Gregory Alia Award. Fellowship and merriment will follow the awards with an open bar, a medieval-themed feast, and entertainment fit for a king. Reserved tables will be available for sponsors throughout the evening.
